Marvel On The Runway

 

 

On April 5, 2025, we celebrated Down Syndrome Awareness and Autism Month by hosting an all-inclusive, multi-generational fashion show at the luxurious Chesapeake Conference Center. It was marvellous! 36 models, ages 10 months to 50 years old, celebrated disability in a new way. It was standing room only. Makeup artists, clothing designer Tonya Dale of TD Couture, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, families, and friends came from near and far. We built a community that inspired one another. The runway was hyped, and the audience roared with excitement. DJ Coastal Vibes of VA and Everlasting Pictures were there to make sure it was a real party for everyone!

We are thankful to our amazing vendors, Pastor LJ, Dr. Keshia, and the Mount @ Chesapeake. Baila Fuzion Arts Center, Grams of Faith, Metro Ministers Conference of VA, Smith Advance Tutoring Services, JaDe Publishing, and MarvelUS. This group, along with several other incredible donors, was instrumental in our success.
