Welcome
Dr. Donita Edwards is a native of Hampton Roads, Virginia.
She is an ordained minister, 4x author, Radio host, and Disability
Educator who hosts inclusive events, partly inspired by her experience
as a caregiver for her oldest daughter with Down syndrome. A key aspect
of her current work is guiding leaders to create strategic plans to
partner and minister to individuals with disabilities.
Dr. Donita
is president of Birthright for All Abilities and the Blake Edwards Arts
Foundation, both of which empower individuals to live out their fullest
potential. She is also the host of a virtual platform called Disability
in the Church LIVE that addresses faith and disability from a practical,
biblical, and cultural perspective.
She earned her Bachelor of
Science Degree (2001) from Norfolk State University, Master of Divinity
Degree in Practical Theology (2007), and Doctor of Ministry Degree in
Christian Leadership (2021) from Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA.
During her 30+ years in leadership, she has conducted numerous
leadership, disability, and business workshops. She collaborates with
other faith leaders and organizations, including Baila Fuzion Arts
Center, Metro Ministers' Conference of VA, Winfield Farms, and Grams of
Faith Magazine, to name a few.
Dr. Donita lives to serve God,
family, and community.
The mission is to educate, encourage, partner, and empower the
Body of Christ. We host quarterly activities in the community that
promote positive self-image, purpose, and spiritual development.

Did you know that disability exists in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation? What is the Church's role with regard to individuals with disabilities? Does the Church lose its relevance if it is not partnering with persons of unique abilities? These and other difficult questions are addressed Saturdays @ 10 am EST. Every FB episode examines disability through a practical, biblical, and cultural lens. Our assignment is to be the tool God uses to close the divide between (dis)ability and ability. Click Here
